Phoenicians backdooring Open Source?

Veritasium has published a new video about the XZ Open Source project being compromised by some unidentified cybercriminals in February 2024. Watch the whole thing or skip to the interesting bit.

They themselves conveniently and surprisingly explained that the code changes came from China deliberately so in case the hacking project is compromised then the blame can be moved onto Chinese CCP.
But until then Red Hat considers any code changes coming from Beijing, China to be safe I presume? You have to laugh.

They also said that some code changes came not from Chinese timezone UTC+8 but from UTC+2 which covers the Levant, Egypt, Turkey and Eastern Europe.
As I write this I don’t know why in this particular case but we get to this eventually they only highlighted Israel and Kaliningrad Oblast which belongs to Russia which is within UTC+2 (mainland Russia is not UTC+3). After all these could be some cybercriminals from Gaza (Hamas, LOL) transmitting from under the rubble, from Lebanon (Hezbollah, LOL), from Syria, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania or Ukraine.
But they quickly concluded these must be some Russian hackers from Kaliningrad Oblast anyway.
But it could be some angry Russians stationing in Eastern Ukraine (UTC+2) controlled by their military.

I think them highlighting Israel but then not to pursue it as a suspect was a nudge and a joke to check if the audience is naive enough to obediently follow the prescribed cue. It was also to trigger these conspiracy theorists like myself and to count in the audience the proportion of naive people (who will blame Russia) to conspiracy theorists (who will blame Israel). They want to know the up to date number of anti-Semites basically. If the percentage of anti-Semites among the viewers of YouTube is high enough then the agents cannot go on a long holiday, something has to be done about it because their Phoenician paymasters feel unease and cannot sleep well even in their super yachts.

The authors of the video went to great length to clear Chinese of the suspicion and have even pointed out that apparently the hackers (Jia Tan) worked over Chinese New Year celebrations so he could not be Chinese but did not work over Christmas so he must be Christian.
Why not some Jews not working over Hanukkah which is also in December?
Wait a minute this supposed to be some Russians but Eastern Orthodox Christmas is not in December but in January so these were not Russian hackers. Their argument falls apart. Maybe they were Russian atheists. LOL

Considering the fact that until now the Phoenicians spend a lot of media resources to push the fake US-China competition and the arms race (to continue to inflate the balance budgets) I reckon in normal circumstances if Chinese were to be found attempting to hack “the West” this finding would be all over the news but it didn’t for some reason. They would ignore these small details pointed out by Veritasium. They can bury any inconvenient fact if they wish so, what we have seen many times during the Plandemic.
At the end of the day who cares if these were some careless Chinese hackers hacking directly from China or some Russians or Israelis going via a VPN located in China.

Veritasium – an influential “Western” Youtube creator just like that absolving the Chinese from suspicion is interesting. Why would he do that?
Perhaps the Chinese don’t care and are careless like the obnoxious Israelis are?
Why obnoxious?
Because most of them (I mean their Ashkenazi ancestors) came from Soviet Russia and people coming from that troubled part of the world don’t have an appealing demeanour according to Western standards, definitely are not gentlemen. Who interacted with them knows. Ashkenazi racism and Zionism does not improve things quite the opposite and the Israelis by being the Phoenician golden child only compounds this bad attitude of the bully.

Why do I claim it’s done by the Phoenicians?
Because the people in the video themselves have said that surprisingly the “Western” mainstream media were quiet about the whole thing. As far as I know Putin and China does not control the “Western” media. Russians or Chinese definitely don’t have a controlling stake in the “Western” media but I know who else does. It seems Veritasium and his folks who are part of one arm of Phoenician Intelligence complains that they haven’t been given enough air time by the Phoenician media.

Veritasium is quite likable however he has also been found pushing false flags e.g. the killing of that lady in Minnesota by ICE what Miles has covered.

Is this some instructional video from Veritasium?
So the folks in Ashkelon, Israel can learn from this, improve their hacking skills, won’t make such a glaring mistake in the future and perhaps look for more effective ways of compromising the Open Source community.
Was it really some Intelligence flop or a deliberate flop?
I don’t know.

Like I said before to me it feels like this whole international spying thing also conducted by the alleged dedicated foreign national hacking groups is a joke. It is more likely for them to be contracted by Goldfinger. LOL
The security researcher at Red Hat – Rich Jones has easily concluded that this could not be some freelance cybercriminal/hacking group because unlike regular cybercriminals Jia Tan was very patient and waited over 2.5 years to slowly deliver a backdoor. Wow!
Considering how this man is quick in making assumptions only makes it easier not harder for hackers to deliver dodgy software packages to Red Hat. He is made for the job!

I think after all this production of Veritasium was some promotional video to boost the awareness of a fake problem what then will translate into more government funding of those “Western” Intelligence agencies to fight bogus foreign/enemy hacking groups. You know all the invisible (nonexistent) enemies: viruses, changing climate, foreign spies, Communists in the FED, Waestern imperialists and such.

I reckon these agents have nothing else better to do and now want to emerge as the protectors of the Open Source. I don’t think this hacking attempt was a viable one as it made SSH slow enough for people to notice. I reckon the impact would be low. There are a lot more examples of non-malicious software bugs that easily took down entire ecosystems and hospitals e.g. at Microsoft (via CrowdStrike) or at Amazon and are extensively covered by the media! You bet it won’t happen again, right?
Why were these widespread service downtimes covered by the Phoenician media but not this one?
I think because unlike this one it was beyond their control, it was a surprise to them and it genuine affected not only their operations.

I wonder how much is this cyber peace of mind is going to cost me in inflation and taxes.
